J&J not doing too badly on the supping front and fridges well\stocked with ale.

Jake not too well, either has conjuctivitus / is allergic to cats or simply has a bad cold.

You should have come along..plenty of room and top notch hosts.

That allergy to cats sounds a possibility. His Uncle's Julian and James are both allergic to them. June and John always have best stocked fridge for Ales and wine. I woudn't be surprised if John hadn't barrel or too in reserve. Knows his ale does John.
