Great day in the White household..

I've finally found a growler that gives Percy Turner a run for his money. Ok, it's not quite that good, but after trying huggins around this area for four years nearly, I've found a beauty. And, from the local butchers a hundred yards away. John Summers'. Bloody delicious. He nearly died apparently a couple of years back so his butchers had been closed. It's now reopened and I've just bought 8 of the basterds.

Told you it was a great day.

Oh, and for any Danny Wilson lovers on here, the great man is on BT Sport tonight for the Hartlepools vs Salford match.

I only live half a mile from Percy,s.
Nice to eat when they have just come out of oven. Heaven. I wonder if LJ and players ought to have them after match, would be a bribe, no win no pie

I'm pleased for you. If you've found a growler that can give percys a run for his money then that is some growler indeed for to be sure percys are without any shadow of a doubt the finest pies this side of the mason Dixon line.

    You lucky sod, Andy.

I have lived in the Cambridge area for 25 years and haven't found a good growler yet!!

Mind you, I really rate Cyril Burkinshaw's in Mapplewell.

Best in tarn - Rob Royd Farm Shop - knock PT's into a cocked hat.

I'm 10 stone wet through, always. But I eat like a horse. Had two growlers, one burger, half a caramel cake, some haribo and crisps today. Spag bol in a bit. Will probably devour a big pack of Doritos later n all. And another growler.

I must have a disease. No idea why I don't gain weight.

As for Percy's, they're porcine perfection. Never had the runs. Jamie Attwood does a good un though. Used to have them when I lived up Royston.

I've always found Percy Turners massively over rated. The best for me round here is the farm shop on hoyland common.
