8 plug surge protected extension. Plug your computer into the socket marked computer. all your peripherals into the rest, plug it in, boot the computer then turn it off, It maps the other plugs and from then on, when you boot your computer it turns the power on to the peripherals, when you turn off it turns off all power to the peripherals, no more standby no more switching stuff off individually. Works too,,,

Going to get one for the telly and stuff nar

one problem I have with these devices, and why have never bought one...

If I were to buy an 8 way device,

    I would have plugged in

    PC
    Monitor
    Speakers
    Printer
    Router
    External Hard Drive
    Maybe a Video Recorder.....

Thats my setup, but obviously someone will use all 8....

All via a single 13 amp fuse plug.....

These things, whilst theory wise sound good, can to me only either casue damage to individual peripherals by not supplying enough power, and be very close to starting some kind of fire when all peripherals suddenly request full power all at once.....

Unless of course, I am completely missing some point that you should never over load a 13amp adapter with anything more than the total which each indivdual plug adds upto...

I do use 8 and a couple more on another

And i hve never had problems with these surge protectors and always had as much power as i need. Many are insured against damage to your stuff. and also many peripherals maybe 3 amp or so.
