"With his on-pitch swagger and multi-million pound lifestyle, many have accused of Cristiano Ronaldo of just being another arrogant footballer.
But the Real Madrid superstar showed he is anything but this week, after pledging to cover the medical bills of one very ill supporter."

The black and white world of the journalist.

Giving money to help people does not mean you're not arrogant. Being arrogant doesn't prevent you from selfless good deeds. We're not one thing or another, we're everything and more. The same person is capable of the cruellest acts imaginable and moments of genuine tenderness. Sometimes within minutes of one another. Ronaldo can be an arrogant arsehole, he wouldn't be half the footballer he is without that, but, as this proves, he's also capable of huge acts of kindness. He's human, just like the rest of us. A hero one minute and a **** the next.

most footballers do great things for charities - but what sells papers, a.n.other sleeps with slapper or a.n.other gives generously to oxfam

Absolutely top draw fro Ronaldo. Hard enough having to deal with the fact your 10 month old is having seizures all day long but not being able to do anything about it must be horrendous.
    Hats off

Great gesture indeed. Wonder how much his signed boosts (sic) will go for, whatever they are?

This isn't out of character for Ronaldho, he's a very compassionate lad off the the field.
