Annoys me that when players score, especially in away games in front of our supporters, yet don't bother to celebrate it with the people who have paid a lot of money to be there (and it was a horrible day as well). It seems to be a regular thing, this turning away from goal and going to the dugout for a silly celebration with team mates. I know it sounds a bit picky but it is just disrespectful to the people who help pay their wages. I don't like to see players piling into the fans and going over the top in that way but a jog in their direction and a raised arm would be nice, just to say "That's for you lot, thanks for coming".
Heat of the moment. I'm sure there's nothing in it. Nice to see solidarity between the staff as well. That's what kept us up last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Same when they come on the pitch for an home game. A number of players wave to their friends/family in the nice warm and cosy legend suite and completely blank the paying fans sat out in the cold.
But we are talking about the player who won man of the match at home to Yeovil, but when the commercial manager went to the dressing room to fetch him up to the exec suite for the photos with the sponsors he sneaked out through the physio's room and left, leaving Dawson and Pedersen to do his duties.
I think they should acknowledge the fans properly at the end win, draw or lose. As for celebrating the goal, it's clear he'd got a daft dance planned with Scotland if either of them scored & that's fair enough. I'm just glad we had a goal to celebrate for a change! I don't see the problem.. As long and players give us a clap at the start and end of the game I don't mind. He obviously had some celebration planned before the game. I'm just glad someone scored a goal to give us a lift because we haven't had much to celebrate this season
