We would have lost that match under Ritchie

In fact we did lose the away fixture, having been two - nil in front. On that occasion we did not have the determination and no defensive ability or desire to defend. If Davey has done one good thing to this team it has been giving them a more solid defensive grounding. Without this we would have crumbled under the second half pressure from Burnley as we did at Turf Moor.

(nodding2fingers) Totally agree ,and we would have caved in after 70 to 80 minutes but continue to play some quality football, what has been said throughout this campagn is that we don't have the cutting edge to finish teams off. promtion teams put thier chances away and we're getting there! we opened the burnley defence up easily and made our chances on goal (more than once one on one with the goalie.a bit more nous in this situation and it would have been 3 )Paul hayes is developing in his new position and played brilliantly today .It won't be long b4 we are putting more than one in and not coceding any , much improved defencively, as Burnley tried to get us on the counter attack. many thanks to Bobby Hassel.
