Him and drugs go back a long way. Even when he was diagnosed his attitude was "What the ****! Bring 'em on. Used to go regularly to Japan for his "medication"!
As you might imagine by my moniker, I'm a bit of a fan of his. Mentally, he really must be in turmoil, or as some would say ****** up, not only with his well known penchant for substances not quite legal, but also being told you've got terminal cancer with only 10 months to live, to be re-told you're now cured. Musically he didn't appear on top form last night - probably down to the fact that he himself has said on many recent interviews he's only at about 80% - he's also said he's working on new material (yabbadabbadoo) hopes to record again with Roger Daltrey (must say that I've always said Wilko is no singer - his music is just not suited to his voice - you only have to listen to the early Feelgoods to know this. Apparently Roger is keen on having Wilko & his band as support on some Who 50th Anniversary dates too. That to me is manna from heaven - akin to having Robert Cray as support to Eric Clapton or Gary Moore as support to BB King.
