There is no respect for anything or anyone these days. Its a very sad inditment on our broken society.
Sickening. I just can't understand what goes on in their heads to want to damage something like that. They need some serious discipline in their lives, nowhere near enough of it anymore so youths think they are free to behave how they like. NB - I am not stereotyping all youths here before I get jumped on.
Makes my ****ing blood boil. The last bit's even worse though - vandalising gravestones. You can't even begin to guess what's going on in their "minds". The do gooders will obviously blame society in general and we will get nowhere nearer to solving the problem. If it can be solved.
Just accept it Vandalism is commonplace these days... Just like swearing in everyday conversation Just like standing in a bus queue with hands down the front of your pants Just like spitting in the street Just like tipping your rubbish in a country lane Just like having no respect or concern for anyone else All perfectly acceptable. It's the way it is.
Re: Just accept it But as we all know, it doesn't have to be this way - it seems that this kind of anti-social behaviour has just gone too far in many parts of the UK. It's not like that over here. The UK has to go back to the way it was 20 years or so ago, with discipline in the home and at school. Is it really that difficult?
Re: Just accept it If that is your real opinion then you should be ashamed of yourself. If it's a wind up you're a nob. If it's irony or sarcasm, then try and get funnier. How can that be "perfectly acceptable?". Please explain.......assuming you have a brain to be able to gather your thoughts into a coherent argument. Moron.
Re: Just accept it You obviously don't know Fired. Yes it's called sarcasm. Fired is highly educated and can articulate an argument as well as the next person, but I'm sure she would not lower herself to reply to your petulant response. There's no need for personal insults, and particularly when you are so way off the mark.
Re: Just accept it Crikey. Thanks for the input. Just for info, of course I was being ironic, and it was a reference to the general acceptance of swearing and yobbish behaviour, in several posts not just yesterday, but on the board on previous occasions. I apologise for being a Moron & not being funny enough.
Re: I Agree! It is a general decline in society. There is little difference between this and the riots, it's a decline in respect. What's the answer? Probably greater discipline from parents and allowing schools to discipline as well. When I was a kid I often used to go on my pushbike to places like Monk Bretton Priory - not to cause damage but just to look around.
This book is well worth a read and you can see how some schools have gone down hill due to the down turn in society. Teachers unable to discipline children, parents not giving a damn, violent kids http://www.play.com/Books/Books/4-/...r=bookall&searchfilters=s{frank+chalk}+c{91}+
