I can never look beyond the Bradford game. I was only 12 / 13 years old but to see Oakwell packed, the emotions changing throughout the day, the final whistle, grown men crying. Even people staying behind in the pouring rain for upto an hour.
Huddersfield away - play off semi final May 2006. A complete roller coaster ride! Went to the game still feeling gutted at losing the first leg 1-0 and to be perfectly honest thinking we'd blown it. Absoloutley magic second half - all the ups and downs. We equalised with the pen and then McPhail made an error. Remember sitting there thinking we've got to score twice now to win - we'll never do it! Next thing - all hell breaks loose and before you know it we're 3-2 up and on our way to Cardiff! Remember screaming down the phone at my boyfriend that we were gonna Cardiff! Magic!
RE: Agreed Me Dads been watching BFC for about 40 years and he always says that the Huddersfield match is well up there on his best ever matches.
Barnsley 5 Blackburn 1 In the playoff season under Bassett. We absolutely battered them, and Hignett was fantastic. We could have had 10.
Aye, great game I was sat in the North stand (**** knows why) with my Dad and my next door neighbour (a Blackburn fan)
Just remember thinking how good we seemed, completely tearing them apart, especially as they had a lot of good players at the time

So did I! I went through a phase of sitting in the North Stand at the time. The Sun used to piss you off though, shining straight into your eyes. They had got relegated the season before IIRC, and we pummelled em.
Ipswich play-off final.... ...yeah we lost but, it was the real Wembley and I was watching Barnsley. The biggest downside was I proposed to my (now) wife that night in London- what was I thinking.....
Found an old match report Doesn't mention the team, but a few players I noticed...Ostenstad....Dailly...Blake D )...Frandsen....McAteer....Duff....Jansen
http://archive.thisislancashire.co.uk/2000/1/24/743961.html

Wolves away 1991 - 5-0 demolition of a team vying for Auto promotion, capped with a wonderful o.g. from Paul Stancliffe.
Great game The two wingers, Barnard and Hignett, plus the two up front, Shipperly and Dyer, were absolutely sensational that day. We'd have beaten anybody with that performance.
Has to be Bradford, simply for getting to the Premier League. The two play-off finals and the semi at Hudds would follow, along with the 7-1 v Hudds.
