Yes Guthrum it was slightly tongue in cheek. My suspicion is that Ipswich did everything by the book and REQUESTED the postponement and the EFL/FA once again proved their incompetence by saying yes to it before squads were confirmed. The blame is entirely on them imo. However it is a bit weird that your club only ever named two players publicly and the one who didn't get called up was never named. I suspect thats because they knew it wasnt as set in stone as they wanted the FA to believe and so were trying to avoid bringing attention to it after they'd incorrectly said yes to the postponement.

One thing that seems a bit odd about this, is how come they knew their lad Leigh was called up for Jamaica a few days ago, when we didn’t know that Russell was until today (if that’s the case)

 

I think that's the real issue here - the clearly incompetent EFL/FA don't give a damn about fans either. Have we even had a murmur from them about the disgraceful Exeter postponement?

I tend to be less worried about the actual game as our level-headed coach will just take it in his stride and have the lads up for it all the same whenever petrified Ipswich deem it's safe for their expensively assembled team to face us.

 

Morsy hasn't played for Egypt in 4½ years. He last played v Eswatini on 16/10/2018.

Wow, I ashamedly can say I had to Google that one. Never heard of Eswatini.
