One of only 5 brits to ever achieve that Still he is lucky though - his rivals who are better than him, keep not being as good as him when it really matters
Luck is important in every sport. There is an argument to say that he proves he is the best in the world when it counts. If they (the competition) bottle it then they can't really be considered the best.
I had my tongue firmly in my cheek with that comment - its just it had been said before that he wasnt really that good and fluked his wins. The fact that some people occasionally jump further when under no pressure is meaningless when you have to produce it on the world stage. Rutherford produces his best when it really counts - like all true champions do
Its been the topic of a long debate about Rutherford. However as they say, no one remembers the losers
Got to be in the SPOTY shortlist now for becoming only the 4th man ever after Daley Thompson, Linford Christie and Jonathan Edwards to hold all four titles at the same time. Still very much underated by alot of people and didn't get the same type of sponsorship as Ennis and Farah after that golden saturday night hour at London 2012.
