It appears to me another flaw with the transfer window that when a team such as Gretna go into admin, they need to sell assets. As they are currently outside the transfer window there only option is to make them redundant so they dont have to pay their wages. If there were no transfer window then if we want Collin we would have paid for home (though no doubt less than he is worth) as well as taken him off the wage bill. I cant think of many advantages to the transfer window.
Have I missed a trick with all this talk about this defender. He played for a poor Scottish team, we have some good defenders now, I didn't have a defender as top of our priorities??? How about a striker or am I just missing something. Bit disappointed I haven't seen any post like 'my mate just seen x getting into a car outside Oakwell'. At least someone make one up
This is true been to Oakwell to watch under16s play a schools team from Durham , heard one of the coaches say to Ronnie Branson(Head of the Acadamy "some Dutch bloke is asking if anyone from the First team set up is here" make of that what you will.
Lazio were after him before he came to Scotland, supposed to be a pretty decent defender. We do need a striker who can score goals though!
3-3 the Durham lads played really well spoke to the coaches who said it was only the third time they had played together were preparing for a tournament in the summer against Scotlland and Ireland teams
Just heard from Scottish FA re redundant players That they have special permission from fifa to permit signings OUTSIDE of the transfer window... Sorry if its already been posted
