Hi. I am currently doing some work for the Football Supporters Federation (http://www.fsf.org.uk/) and I would appreciate some information from any knowledgable Tykes. Basically the FSF are putting together a Ground Guide that will be accessible from their website from the start of August. It will include everybody from Arsenal to Weston-Super-Mare. What I am after is any information about Oakwell or anything to do with the club that any you think should be included in the Barnsley F.C. section. More Specifically: What music do The Tykes run out to on match day? Whats the official Programme called and how much is it? If your an away fan are there any facilities for a large flag (doh) and where is the best local place to stay and have a drink if your a travelling fan? Finally what songs do you sing at the match? Any information on any of these queries would be fantastic! Cheers.
Club JohnnyCoachman round the head
You'll find sawdust, there's enough for everyone
All that's missing is a brain
Thought and reason, never seen 'em.

you the same as me then? Obviously I don't know the club tropicana words, I just used the **** the police tune from NWA and hoped it would fit?
arse. wtf? Why does that happen. First it looked like I replied to my own message, so I look a bit silly, then I highlighted it and hey presto it jumps back to where I thought I'd posted it in the first place and makes me look like a tit. I reckon Nutkins is to blame.
Hello Tomarz What I am after is any information about Oakwell or anything to do with the club that any you think should be included in the Barnsley F.C. section. What music do The Tykes run out to on match day? Whats the official Programme called and how much is it? It is called the Oakwell Snippeter and costs £1.80 for category A games , £1.88 for category B games and £1.97 for all other games If your an away fan are there any facilities for a large flag and where is the best local place to stay and have a drink if your a travelling fan? In the away stand there is a flag tube and flag box where you can store your flags during the games. You aren't allowed to fly flags so you have to store them. The best place to stay is probably at either the Swinton Grand or the Monk Bretton Hilton. The Mount pub near the ground is good and welcomes all away fans nowadays. They also have battle rapping on Friday nights and Soccer Saturday from 11am in the morning on matchdays. There is a football quiz at 11.30am , table football in the back room and organised football arguments before kick off. Finally what songs do you sing at the match? Coooome on you reds - when there is a corner. Super red tykes , soooper red tykes and super red tykes - during the games. The Toggleblaster is Here - when Sam Togwell does fierce slide tackles. Boom , boom , boom - let me hear you say Bryan, Bryan - which is sung when Bryan Howard does long range shots
I thought we were just typing stuff in and seeing what happened. For the hard of thinking : That obviously was NOT an incitement to violence towards BBS users. However daft they are.
Dont forget to mention we have at least one working toilet, and a decent burger van (even tho his MOT is out of date - allegedly!)
