How come Davey said his name was on the team-sheet by mistake then? And how do you write the wrong name on a team-sheet, K-A-Y or A-T-K-I-N-S-O-N. Easy mistake to make i suppose.
What I heard was... And it's not from an insider etc, but I've heard the same from a few different people, not sure whether I believe it though. The story goes Kay called at his mums prior to game (as he always does apparently - ahh!) his mum says oh I hear you are on the bench from the radio. Kay knows nothing about this as he hasn't got to the club yet. Kay confronts Davey when he gets there, and he is on the bench and it did get on the radio before the player was told. Kay took exception at this (as you would if it was true) in that the public know before the manager has had time to speak with the players and said that this process was spineless and left. I'm not sure I believe this, for one I was under the assumption that the team knew who where playing the day before, Friday in this case. Surely it has to be like that for tactics etc. But don't know whether this is the case all the time. Either way it raises questions and shows that we don't know the full story. Edit: So he has refused to play since then.
RE: What I heard was... I believe that somebody on the day of the colchester game posted that Kay was at the ground during the match (in the legends suite or something?)
Regardless of 'who said what' Time somebody banged some heads together and got him back in the team in place of Heckingbottom. No doubt he made mistakes and will probably do so in future but he is an asset to the team.
RE: But the manager said a different story nt I'm only saying what i was told not sure what SD has said about it butit needs sortng out asap!
RE: What I heard was... Yes, left the players area but not the ground. Sounds like there's something else, which is always the case!
My only problem with that is why did he not know he was sub untilSaturday afternoon? Surely the players know the team on Friday as this is the day the players usually work on the match tactics. Was that the day Nayatanga arrived or summat?
