Where he says it was disappointing that someone alerted Wolves to the clause in McIndoes contract.

McIndoes agent? Or perhaps a parting shot from AR?

Or am I Roundsman in disguise?

Maybe even GS to pay for Knight and McCann in January

Who knows!

McIndoe is obviously ambitious

and he's moved to a club that he thinks will serve his career better than we could. Can't blame him. We'll miss him, but we've just won 2 games without him, so maybe we won't.

My Thoughts On It Are......

if they wasn't a clause in the contract to begin with, then he wouldn't have anything to be disapointed about. Things like that will and should come out.

If there wasn't a clause in the contract to begin with there wouldn't have been a contract and there wouldn't have been a McIndoe at Oakwell.

He insisted on the clause and wouldn't have signed without it.

What a daft thing to say...putting a clause like that in and just hope no-one finds out? :pff

Knight has been excellent and will continue to be so, if the team plays to his strengths ie playing the ball to him on the floor and not hoofing it up pitch.
If anything is guaranteed to send my spirits into lower orbit it's this 'hoofing'
Neither Knight, nor Nads can cope with those type of 'hoofs'
Why not play to their strengths instead of making them both look foolish when they fail to connect to the hoofing balls?

Sooooooooo.....

if we hadn't gave him the clause he would have stayed a league below, in a **** ground, playing worse teams, in front of half the crowds we do ? Yeah right course he would. He just got what he wanted no questions asked. What great negoitators we are as a club at times.

No

he would have gone to another club who would have allowed the clause. Do you seriously believe that this is the only case where a player has a get out clause written into his contract?

Because we took a chance with him

We are in the Championship, Donny were not. We activated the same clause in his contract to get him from Donny that Wolves activated to get him from us. No doubt, both McIndoe and his agent 'talked the clause up'
Full Ponty is correct when he says that 'Football is ****'
It is!

Would PR have signed him on these terms?

Shepherd activated the clause..........

and why not?
He was bloody brilliant for us and gained us points.
I'm sorry he's gone and was indeed gutted to see he HAD gone, but that's football and we move on.
Our Club could not match McPhail's ambition, nor could it match McIndoe's.
I worry about that, but I am a realist who follows BFC to the death.
If you follow BFC, you have to be a realist, otherwise, you might as well slit your throat, for God's sake!

We sign a player and we haven't a clue what clauses have been inserted in their contract

We have to get real on this.
The Agents are out for a crafty Buck and the more they gain for their player the more they pocket for themselves
Football is ****, when you think about it
