To me the route cause of the problem is that very little info comes out of the club partly becasue they good at keeping things in house (for example start of the season we all speculated as to who we would sign, yet no one mentioned foster, mcloud, johnson etc until the club published it on the website) But this leads to any info that does come out been jumped on and everyone taking different spins on things, emaisl to the chairman are all well and good and he maybe could have been more professional in his response but can anyone blame him with the abuse he has to take of people hiding behind smoke screens!!!!
To be fair I think it is difficult to name names when negotations are under way. More than likely some 'rich club' would up the valuation if they knew in advance.
