Darryl Duffy

Taylor Delighted With Duffy Capture

[IMG]Having been on the trail of Darryl Duffy for sometime, Peter Taylor is delighted to have finally got his man and believes that the 21-year-old will prove to be money well-spent.

The young front-man has a terrific goalscoring record and the City manager is more than confident that he'll be a good addition to the squad.

"He's a poacher and a very quick striker who is good with the ball," he said.

"Darryl is young but I'm very confident he can come here, do well and be a success for us.

"It'll take him a bit of time to get to know everyone but I've got no doubt that it'll be money well-spent."

One of Duffy's biggest assets is his pace and that's been one of the main pre-requisites in Taylor's hunt for a new striker.

"I wanted a very quick striker," he added. "Whenever you do play against a team with real pace it does ask some questions and I think that Darryl's got that.

"People know that we've been going into games with two fit strikers which hasn't been enough and that's why we've opted to increase the numbers."
