    Today was the gate Challenge Cup Final, between Plankton Pete and Guinness Tyke.</p>

    The gate was 11,228</p>

    Guinnes's nearest forecast of 11,080 landed just 148 away from the attendance figure, whereas</p>

    Plankton's nearest forecast of 13,376 fell well short by 2,148.</p>

    The crowd did produce a slight mini-blip from home supporters and at first it looked like Planktonmight clinch it. Unfortunately the Charlton supporters didn't turn up for the day, resulting in a lower figure that allowed Guinnes to walk it in the end.</p>

    Well done and congratulations Guinnes - winner of the Gate Challenge Cup competition 2008.</p>

    Don't forgrt, there's still the race for the League title, and in case you forgot, there's also the award for the Average Gate forecast winner. More details later.</p>
