Possession 59% to 41% in our favour

22 (yes twenty two) shots, 8 on target. They had 8 shots, 3 on target

We had 7 corners to their 3.

Looking at those stats, one of their fans who didn't go would think they had got a right thrashing.

OK it wasn't actually gung-ho but it shows that in midfield we now have a player to scare the opposition, and others who can do his work for him. We've got strikers who can shoot and score, and impact players (like Bobby Hassell) on the bench. All of a sudden things look a lot brighter. If only we didn't have bloody QPR on Saturday.

we've got the squad for a mid table finish. hence the frustration from many, at the start we've had. tonight showed a glimpse of what we're capable of. and i think we've got much more potential to come. i also still think 3-5-2 is our strongest formation, and it's obvious that flicker is trying to change the shape, which is taking time. qpr will probably batter us - i just hope people don't start overreacting again

As long as we give a decent performance at QPR that will do me. Then comes the real test with the Boro, Fowls, Ipswich and Donny games. After the next 5 games things could look a lot different.
