Winning 1-0, take off a winger and replace him with another midfielder, defend deeper & deeper, concede a very late equaliser. Groundhog day yet again. Win at Plymouth when we've only won 3 this calendar year? Don't make me fecking laugh!

We certainly don't make it easy for ourselves

I won't be setting foot in Oakwell again 'til Mr Davey is relieved of first team duties.

Agree mate, it was inevitable Wolves would score when we went defensive, we just cant seem to keep a clean sheet! Also our inability to score more than one goal and the amount of points we have thrown away in the last 10minutes of matches will cost us our place in this league.

    I understood from the commentary

that Hammill came off injured so the switch was forced. Not sure if that's true or not.

Then why not put Devaney on?

As soon as the substitution was made, we handed the initiative over to the opposition again with the inevitable outcome. Why couldn't we continue to attack Wolves when we all know what a poor record of defending a lead we've got?

Because the manager isn't good enough to manage a football league championship side

It's as simple as that. He doesn't know how to use his subs bench properly and how to make the correct changes during games.

    Who knows (only Davey)

Ah well... Wolves were always going to get a few chances and Kyle Reid was always favourite to score against us. So, thinking philosophically, chances are they would have got the equaliser no matter whether it was Andranik or Devaney on the pitch. Yet Barnsley had chances to win it at the end it seems. It sounded like a decent overall performance to me, albeit we needed the win.

Onwards to Plymouth. Will Hammill be fit by then?

    Lets be honest

if he had brought Devaney on and we had still conceded the same people would have probably been critical as to why he didn't bring on Teymourian (who was ****)

I wouldn't play Hammill even if he is fit after his performance today

I think Devaney deserves a start. Just my opinion.

Davaney should have come on but also

when you go defensive you need an outlet for the defense to get rid ie; some one who can hold the ball when its cleared, so why take off a 6ft plus foreward and replace him with a midget. For those two substitutions alone the buffoon should be sacked. We were on the front foot the game was almost won, replace like for like and keep going for it. But what do I know only been watching football for 55 years and I havn't got any badges. Tell a lie, I've got my cycling proficiency badge. (rather have that than whatever Daveys got cos they aren't doing him any good )

Well, that tactic's worked a treat so many times this season(!)

I don't know about Hammill, mate. But I have no confidence in the manager or team to do the job required next Sunday.

I suppose that's the nature of a flair player

Good one week, non-existent the next.

    Not at all

If he brings Devaney on, keeps the shape and keeps the ball at the Wolves end, we haven't got a problem. It was the defensive setup and the negative attitude that changed the game.</p>

Let's face it, not to win that game was criminal - Wolves were giving it to us FFS! They only made any effort at all when we sat back and GAVE them unlimited access to the ball.
