and the win, thought we were superb in spells. the briscoe disallowed try altered the game massively, and whatnough should have been sent off. on to the kc next week to beat new zealand, then finally put the aussies in their place at bell end road on the 19th.
Aussies just about edged it, but you're right about the calls. Williams shouldn't have been on the pitch after that high tackle. Sin bin at least, but I've seen players sent off for less.
Re: shaun edwards? adrian morley after 12 seconds? I missed the Williams tackle and I haven't seen the replays yet, however I was at Wembley when Shaun Edwards got sent off (was it Bradley Clyde he nearly decapitated?) and even from the other side of the pitch you could see how bad it was, so if Williams' effort was worse, then I've no idea how he avoided being sent off. Great effort from the lads today though.
Re: shaun edwards? adrian morley after 12 seconds? They'll cite "swinging arm", but as ryhilltyke says, very reminiscent of the tackle Morley got his marching orders for. Don't think there was intent, but it was high and dangerous.
really chuffed with the england performance today, thought we matched them in the forwards which doesn't usually happen and there was some great play in the backs from tomkins, hall etc only a dodgy ref and some poor goal line defence stopped us from causing an upset, the aussies can definitely be beaten if we get to the final
