can somebody explain to me on what basis they've won another legal reprieve they bought some land, half of it was green belt, and on that green belt bit they've put 51 caravans/mobile homes. It's black and white, if anybody else built something on the green belt without planning permission it wouldn't take them nearly as long as this to kick em out and pull it down.
I like the way they keep referring to them as travelers, how can they be travelers when they don't go anywhere?? I can think of a few names to call them instead of travelers and afew ways of how to get shut of them but the PC brigade on here would self combust!!!
I don't understand........ all these rights that travellers have because they are travellers. if they stop travelling and want a permanent residence somewhere, don't they become like the rest of us and have to pay taxes, community charge etc? Seems they want all the technical legal privileges that being a "traveller" brings but don't want to actually bother with the travelling bit. kick em art.
The case hinges on the argument that residents have not been sufficiently informed about what is allowed on each pitch, and what must be removed. That is not to say that that argument is right - just that the judge thought they should be allowed to put their case - albeit on new grounds. To remove someone from their home is a draconian step, and its quite right that the letter of the law should be followed before that can be carried out. The emergency injunction has been granted so that the point can be argued. All a bit of a ball-acher for Basildon Council, but they will have the opportunity to show they have complied with the law on Friday.
Programme on Ch4 now about it. Personally I wouldn't p*ss on a gypo if they were on fire, I might stamp but wouldn't waste my p*ss.
Re: I don't understand........ Its about time we stopped pandering to these people. They're a shower of anti-social barstewards who dislike us with a passion so why should decent folk have to put up with these people blighting the communities they are part of. These travellers don't want to play any part of the local community so they should be moved on. If they kept being moved on they might eventually get the message.
Just wondering how they are being removed from their home when they are taking their home with them? They live in caravans, under the names of travellers, as said above how can they be classed as travellers if they stay in one place?
If Council tenants treat their homes and neighbourhoods the way that gypos do then they would be removed from the property. It is not Draconian at all, if you want to be accepted then you have got to fit in, gypos can't/don't/wont.
"A house to us is a prison". But a dirty caravan in a field surrounded by 5hite is home, no wonder people don't want them around, they are feckin clueless as to how to live life as part of normal community.
You couldn't make it up This morning my sister was offered a 4 bedroomed house. Will she take it. No it's against our culture. FFS what culture.
Re: Good decision mate. Some do on the coast for 8 months of the year, but a week now and again is all I can manage they`re just ice boxes on wheels.
And who will pay the legal bill and clean up costs once this infestation has been moved on to **** on another community elsewhere. Of of course the local tax payer as usual.
Re: Good decision mate. And I bet they look after the area where they are located and try their best to fit in with the local community. Massive difference. Gypos aren't happy unless they are p1ssing somebody off.
That Gypsy 'camp' on Grange Lane is looking empty afew caravans have disappeared from there over the weekend. I drove up Tank Row today and that place is a right dump, BMBC have provided those big metal bins you find behind shops pubs etc, and they have dumped Gas bottles, bags of rubbish, and anything else you can think of in the trees & bushes on the site. There was a rumor going round that they had actually bought the land on Grange Lane
