"Yes they should" - Conan Troutman (when he reads this).

Nah, I don't think it's bad enough to consider getting rid of Hill yet (even if the opening post was made as a joke.)

The performance at Brighton was four hundred billion times better than any number of Spackman's* efforts - the away efforts at Hillsborough and the opening day of that season at Bradford comes to mind.

If we lose the next four league games, Hill will be skating on very thin ice, though.

*I'm comparing Hill's team to the most gutless, embarrassing efforts I have ever seen watching Barnsley, so the bar ain't that high.

A bad defeat on Saturday and maybe getting someone else in should be considered by the club, although I don't think they should do anything rash, just have a think what the options are.

We have to admit the injury situation is worse than I have ever known as a fan of the club, we have a pretty deep squad now when all are fit, it's just are the ones out injured much better than what we've had in the last few games?

Perkins is the only big miss I can think of, O'Brien is probably just worthy of a place in the side, Cwyka and Mellis always have to play when fit so that rules a few others out. Obviously the defence was awful on Saturday I hear so I suppose you'd have to drop McNulty back in - not sure if his presence would have changed the result on Saturday.

Looks like our problem could be scoring goals again - it's a shame Mido wasn't in there now getting some match fitness then we'd know within the next few weeks if he turned out to be a decent gamble or not. Now when he comes back we're going to have to put up with him starting most games not very match fit in the hope that he will start to bang them in - who knows though he might bag a hat trick in his first game, or p*ss off back to t'Egypt without ever playing in a competitive game for us.

I've a hell of a lot of time for hill. But its wearing very thin with the insistence on playing Wiseman no matter how **** he has been. As said elsewhere, this will be his fall down, cos probably 90% of fans will turn on both

Thing is at the moment, winning the next two games (after tonights game) wouldn't be out of the question and then everyone will be dreaming of the play-offs again.

We are indeed a fickle bunch.
