And I never thought I would say how much I like the bloke
I'm one of his biggest critics but you cannot fault the mans passion for the job he is trying to do, even if he doesn't show it

I think most people I know who have met him come away with greater respect than before. Some people on here proclaim him to be an arrogant man, but I feel they probably are the same small minded idiots who feel it is appropriate to discuss both his birth place and his weight at the match as if that makes a jot of difference. Any 'fan' who considers either of those two factors relevant are a joke. And there are quite a few jokers on this board.....

he should try coming across more like that to all fans, not just the ones face to face

his arrogance and willingness to fall out with numerous players during his tenure, are keeping a bridge between himself and some fans.
were you strong enough to ask him why he's fecked about with campbell-ryce for 6 months and why he's **** scared of the opposition.
talk is cheap his actions from the dugout this season show it's time for a change.

Not sure you're got that right regarding fallouts

The players are definitely behind the manager, that was made crystal clear last night.

As for jcr, the managements arguments for not playing him on the wing are that he's scored 11 goals this season, his previous best was 4, and that a 150k signing is now worth over a million quid. I know footballls not as black and White as that but they have a point, they've identified him as a goal threat to the opposition, so are trying to utilise his skills accordingly. Right or wrong, they've got a good case

I'm not sure how that case works

He became a £1m player whilst playing on the wing and a sure fire winner of the player of the year award. They then moved him out of position and he's been **** since.

How many of his goals were scored...

as a result of playing in the middle?

    Not many I'd guess...

the players at any club say they are always behind the manager. managers come and go

it's a fact of football. jcr would not command the same money now, as he did 6 months ago.
no surprise we started playing better again when jcr went back out wide last few games.

He's scored 9 in total, three from the penalty spot. Of th other 6 I think two were from the middle, forest and palace. Or was he on the wing at forest? I seem to remember people saying 'that was a 4-4-2' who'd been to the game

why do I feel your talk with Davey has slightly opend the door to transparancy and in many respects I feel such a situation is begining to throw some light on the problem. I can't speak for anyone else but, it allows me to start thinking more about the man. Don't confuse that with "everything in the garden is rosie", because it is'nt and I've some way to go before becomming convinced but, it's a starter. As I've said before transparency allows for clear understanding and this is no different from any other of relationship, if you don't communicate problems will develop. Take note Mr. Cryne and Mr. Davey. Please don't blame me/us/others soley for this situation. You too must take some responsibility instead of intimating that "if it was'nt for you". That's a weak arguament.

Yep I bet he got some good photos mingling with the movers and shakers of the ST for his "I am a fans favourite" dossier to show Patrick.

Which players has he 'fallen out' with?

    Christensen? Johnson?

The only ones I can think of. And that might just be because he thought they were **** once he'd signed them?

Its not so much the falling out with players that bothers me all that much although I still want to know the truth with Christensen. No its the man management style; the best example of this is Steele, applauded by Davey and made his man of the match then promptly dropped the match after. Beyond this he's lucky to get a place on the bench so Davey can accommodate some weird tactics that ensure we play like tossers at home. Then as a final insult to Steele he continues to play Muller week in week out despite some very dodgy performances that cost us points. If we do lose Steele there will only be one man to blame.

A signing not sanctioned by davey although this wasn't the reason he wasn't picked. He was totally idle and would do bugger all in training. Patrick cryne was quite scathing about him

Unless you've got something to back those up..

Howard wanted to leave for a better future/bigger club and Kozluk said when he returned to the side he had a run of little injuries. Souza stormed out of Oakwell for not being not being in the first eleven, but surely that's Souza's fault not Davey's?

How do you know Johnson and Christensen didn't just train poorly so didn't get picked?
