Barnsley is NOT a stepping stone club.............so says Luke Steele
But Pat Cryne (and recently Don Rowing) has discribed Barnsley as a small club. But is Barnsley a small club? I dont think Barnsley is a small club. I think Barnsley is a club that has been starved of success. Which of course is a lot different to discribing the club as a small club.
Which club in the area would double the home attendances if they were doing well........I can think of only one.

And........why has KeeFlicker been brought to the club after what Mark Robins acheived last season. Answer - simply to bring young players on and to bring in players for next to nowt that have potential so they can be developed.........THEN SOLD ON.
Which is fair enough if the directors can get the right price for them. Although the directors have yet to prove that they have the ability to do this.

'Barnsley is NOT a stepping stone club' !!!.............that is exactly what Barnsley is during this time in its history.

I don't understand why people worry about it so much almost every club is a stepping stone to the top we struggle to keep up with top Championship teams as the lower teams in the Premier struggle to keep up with the top few.

Think Luke Steele is talking from a personal point of view

He's hardly going to say it is for two reasons.

    1) he'd get honded by the fans if he did, just as Bogdanovic did when he said the same after he left.

    2) He's been stood on the stone that long it's more likely to crumble beneath him rather than him 'step off' so to speak.

He has said before, he just wants to be playing, he is happy as long as he is no1. He knows he will be here. Still earning a decent wedge.
