Apologies to anyone who's relatives were trying to get the ball off the ground sufficiently high enough to hit the crossbar, but if those kids are an example of why the club spends a fortune on the academy teams, then scrap it immediately. What a farce!
fecks sake!
You try and do it then, abet when they on field they do it everytime, even though they were **** does it matter?

I've tried it plenty of times pal, and i can guarentee you I'd manage it more than once in the forty odd times those 'stars of the future' did. Could do at the age of 10 as well mind. I know hitting the crossbar is hardly the measure of football talent, but I really do wonder what kind of 'talent' is there when they can barely muster a shot off the ground when aiming for the crossbar from 12 yards out! By the way your sentences make no sense.
Probably not, it hardly constitutes 'entertainment' anyway does it? But if that's the aim of the game, i'd hope anyone that might progress to first team level could do it a damn sight better than that by that age! Being constructive, how about the lads trying to beat the substitute goalie from 12 yards at half time? At least then one of our subs would actually be 'warming up' at half time.
