We were very poor and may struggle again this season based on the 90mins yesterday. Said we missed some right sitters though and could of at least drawn the match and DW has a lot of work on season. Which we already knew.
Halifax need to remember that there players were putting a shift in. Bar our younger lads who wanted to impress, we didn't even get our of first gear. It was a match we played at training pace.
We weren't very poor just not that great against a team who last season were three leagues below us. On another day Rose might have scored 1-2. Hoskins put one wide of the post from about four yards out. I think poor finishing was the main difference between the two sides. O Grady was anonymous though during his second half. I hope that's not a sign that he expects to be leaving therefore doesn't want to risk injury.
Losing football matches (and not even scoring) is never a good thing, no matter how anybody dresses it up. Can't be good for confidence, just hope the next games are better I suppose. We should at least be knocking a couple in against Halifax, no disrespect to them.
