Relatively decent performance, only a few points to note.

Please Mr Ritchie, stop giving Tommy Wright a chance. He's hopeless. He is the Barnsley statistical equivalent of Lampard at the world cup. 76000 attempts at goal. No goals. As the match rolled on he got chance after chance handed to him on a plate. What more does he bloody well need? If he can't slot one home against Halifax then I doubt he's going to get much success in the Champ.

McIndoe - at last a left winger who can cross and looks pretty sharp. Devaney definitely livened things up on the right. Letheren was OK, at least he didn't concede anything. Where the hell was Ole? We had all the chants lined up and everything.

I trust we'll be watching the full first team again on Tuesday night though as the novelty of watching the reserves is starting to wear off!

Didn't mention in report as it didn't cost anything, but his kicking is really really poor. Don't want to knock any of our players - he looks okay otherwise - but it's a massive weakness of his. I'm sure he's well aware of it himself.

    Halifax match

Not the best of games to watch but the players did well. Mcindoe played well and on healy's performance i wud offer him a contract. Atkinson did well apart from his dodgy backpass. Wright does not get any better and needs to be sold! All in all a good solid performance from the lads!

Atkinson looks like hes going to save the club some money, Coulsen looked quite sharp even though he was played out of position. Healy... not sure! The keeper looks very dodgy to me and cant kick for toffee. Nicky Wroe dont get me started, looked out of his deph, even against Halifax!

    Rob Atkinson.

    Well impressed by this kid.

Wouldnt be suprised to see him break through this season.

Healey, McIndoe & McParland all played well IMO.

    RE: Rob Atkinson.

Absolutely - he had a good turn out against Bradford PA the week before too. I wouldn't expect him to be a first team player for a couple of years but he certainly looks like he has the ability.

    RE: Yes.

Was one of them bragging how Jarman had asked her out by any chance. He couldn't drag himself away during the warm-up. Bet Uncle Rick didn't spot that one!
