I know he's had is problems, but on his day is unplayable. Free transfer chance to get his career back on track
Don't agree. He's said himself he's been his own worst enemy. Belting paramedics who are trying to treat you when drunk was a ridiculously low thing to do and probably reflective of his level of arrogance. But time moves on, he's got a young kid now and he has indicated he knows himself he needs to prove his worth. I reckon he might get a deal in the league above - but if he would come back here, even if to rebuild his damaged reputation, then surely he'd be worth it? Not sure he could command a huge wage in the circumstances. If he was even half the player that left us four and a half years ago he'd tear up this league.
If we could give him a deal to end of the season with option of further if wages suit would be good signing imo
he should never have been released...he should be locked up forever. big time Charlie = waste of space has he changed?....who knows?....worth a gamble?
I'd love to have him back. Who cares about baggage. Get him fit and firing and you have a reight player.
He's pretty much only ever done what we saw him do for us, surely he'd be tempted back by what he once was for us.
He must be a possibility for us. Hardly past his best at 27, family man now and presumably lives locally. Depends on wages.
Get him in. He was playing left-back for Huddersfield at one point! Put him there until January, sign another left-back in the next window, and then push Hammill onto the wing. Sorted!
