Til the end of the season then. As I'd hoped for. Nice one. And it shows their lass wasn't winding us up on Saturday when she told gazredtyke he was staying.
I'm not so sure, just play a bit less cautiously, our better players are in forward areas, play to their strengths. Faster and more expansive. If we're losing most games anyway we might as well attack the game to try and win as opposed to sit back and hope for some magic from hammill or hourihane. Give it a go. At least we'd be entertained, I'd sooner lose 4-3 than 1-0. Won't matter if Mawson or nyatanga make a bit of a ruck if we're already 3-0 up... In all seriousness I know we can't throw caution to the wind but the current method doesn't work. Whatever we do I just hope we pick up some points before January. Hammill re-signing might have made my Christmas though.
Well done for sorting that out dare we say Ben?? First class that, should put him in the shop window....good deal all round.
Best news I've heard about us in ages. No doubt there would have been a few struggling championship sides take a punt on him. Hopefully we can start to move up the table and he can resurrect his career towards the level he was when he left us last time.
cracking news. got to say, i was slightly dubious initially. but that was probably more to do with his history and hugo coming at the same time. pleased to say he's proved me totally wrong so far. we can only improve if he stays fit. a fully fit midfield of williams, hourihane, scowen, hammill...should pi$$ all over most teams in League 1
Really glad he's signed but would have preferred him signing til end of next season. Someone to build a team around then
I don't think we can afford to commit ourselves to him financially, considering we're potentially a L2 club next season. And, whilst Adam may well love being 'home', I'm sure he's a family to feed and money to earn, so at 28 next year he might well take another good salary rather than staying in the comfort zone. I've a rough idea of his Huddersfield wage and I can't for the life of me see us paying him even half that. So hats off to him for putting his football first. For now. But don't expect him to sacrifice his future for us. I'm just chuffed that I'm going to see him down bomb alley for another five months or whatever.
