Hammill wants to come and the club have agreed a deal with Liverpool.

It's only his agent who wants more money.

Yeah I forgot that Hammil was only on loan to us last year and that he does not have an agent touting him. Prime example of SD not doing right for wrong

lets put it this way, if SD had not said anything about transfers or targets all summer what kind of reaction would be on here? When he does talk about interest in players who other clubs are interested in he still gets slated; he cannot win.

Why would he go to Leeds?
Got to remember, he's from Liverpool, a 21 year old scouser, Leeds mean nothing to him, have no recent history that could impress him, have been in League 1 for probably as long as he can remember, at least he can remember us beating his home team and Chelsea and being at Wembley in a Cup Semi. He probably equates Leeds to the Premiership as much as he does us.
He's been on loan to 3 different Championship teams, why now sign permanently for a League 1 outfit.
He no doubt harbours a belief that one day he'll play for Liverpool, that isn't going to be aided by dropping off the radar in the alehouse League.
He'll be ours, next week.

 

IT WASNT SAID AT THE MEETING THAT HIS AGENT WANTED 'MORE MONEY' what was said that it was now 'in the hands of his agent'....why dont some people LISTEN, and others stop blaming SD for something that is out of his hands, when he and the club are doing their fekin best to get the lad here...

 

I'm not a Davey fan and quite frankly would like to see the back of him but, I suspect that many who post on here,myself included, use Davey as a scapegoat to mask our frustrations. I suspect there's an expectation to see him go out, flash the cheque book and come back with whoever he's set his sights on. Equally, I also suspect we have lost the sight of the greed and manipulative behaviour exhibited by players and agents who, at the end of the day, do not give a flying **** about the club or it's supporters. Forget what Hammil said about his time here. At the end of the day Hammil and his agent,and rightfully so, are interested in themselves and what they can get out of it. Perhaps the time has come to take the foot off the negetive accelerator and sit back, enjoy , hopefully, what's to come and give Davey a chance.

Some might say that he's had many chances and in many respects he has but inspite of chopping and changing players over the past two seasons there appears to be a nucleus of quality comming into the well. If Hammil decides Leeds are a better option then let him **** off. We'll come out of this o.k and hopefully for the better and I personally feel there are good times ahead. Let the negetive ones such as Basset, Sturrock and the press put us down because I'm convinced we will prove ourselves where it matters, on the field of play.

Leeds percieved to be a nicer place to live than barnsley by people outside the area

If Leeds want him he'll be theirs this time next week.
