Because ‘little bitch’ is something I’d have knocked out of my teenage son. It’s an attitude I wouldn’t want any female members here to read. It belongs with the ironing board comments that are rightly challenged on here.
You don't see some irony in (fairly) raising the issue of toxic masculinity and following it up with a comment implying domestic violence on your kids?
One slight correction, Hancock has been health secretary since 2018, so just short of 3 years, not 5...
TBF ST, it was a bit of a ‘co op stamp’ moment, I had to walk away the other day when someone used a much worse phrase to describe a woman they disapproved of.
It’s the *his* little bitch that I’m not keen on. Maybe he’s her little bitch? I know you’d say ‘his girlfriend’, ‘his mistress’ etc. but ‘his little bitch’ has different connotations to those and comes across differently to ‘I wonder what will happen to *the* little bitch now’ which is just insulting her but not making her out as his possession. Wife/girlfriend, even mistress to some degree, seem to carry equal weighting on both people and not implied ownership. It’s an interesting topic but it did make me feel something when I read it although I was going to ignore it until Donny commented.
dePfeffel is now implying he sacked Hancock. Despite backing him on the Friday, and saying the matter was closed. Unbelievable mendacity.
That's a fair point I didn't think of the 'his' part rather than 'the'. You're right in that it does imply ownership but that wasn't a conscious thing that I did. I would say I'd say her whatever in reference to him too but I don't actually know if I would or not
