There seems to be an unearthly silence on the Brand/ Miliband little coffee morning which maybe due to most Labour voters being understandably embarrassed about it. Let's face it, what political leader would even consider being in the same room as a bloke who openly called Manuel's granddaughter a **** with his idiot sidekick, a man who tried to tag along behind Katie Perrie''s dress coz he thought it would make his exposure bigger in the U.S. A person with no morals who claims to be for the poor but lives the life of a Prince? How would that ever help the Labour leader? Probably explains the latest lean to the Tories in the polls.Talk about shooting yourself in the foot....and not Michael. Sorry, but this is just not normal behaviour.
http://www.heatworld.com/2015/03/ex...david-cameron-read-everything-we-learned-here 01:14 - a question to David Cameron from a reality TV star who has **** herself, been shagged on TV & all delivered whilst on the toilet. So let's not play the embarrassed card. The bloke's a ****, but so are the vast majority of broad sheet journalists. At least he's got the ears of a different type of person that are routinely ignored when it comes to politics.
He's not a journalist, he's not even funny, just a pathetic little man who is, if not, should be one of the most hated people in Britain. This being so, it can only be political suicide to have a chat with him on TV in an election year. So I have to ask who is the fool? Wrong brother got the job.
I think it's a great move by Milliband, as long as he doesn't come across as a rabbit in the headlights. Russell Brand as a person is easy to dislike, but look at what he is saying on his Trews channel - he's bang on regarding a lot of things. He's saying everything that is not said in the mainstream media, and should be applauded for it - after all, he's wrecked his hollywood career in the process. Brand will go for the throat with Milliband for not being left wing enough, so Ed can score a huge win if he comes out of it well. Who cares who he is if he's asking the right questions and is reaching a big audience? P:S. He doesn't claim to be poor, and that Katy Perry comment is irrelevant.
He's not a journalist, you're right. But neither is Katie Hopkins - would you be up in arms if Cameron spoke to her? Despite all that, he has 10m Twitter followers who I imagine a high % have no interest in politics. I'd this conversation turns just a small % on to politics then it's worth it The world has changed. People have access to people in power via the Internet and that's why the establishment are getting annoyed - they're not needed any more and they don't know how to deal with it. So, in summary, I think you're talking bo11ocks.
Exactly. The mainstream media is happy telling us that immigrants and those on benefits are to blame for any economic problems we might have (such as funding the NHS) when in reality this is just propaganda bullsh*t to let the establishment do as they please.
Mmm, so in that case you must like Farange as well as you just described him perfectly. Let's be real, Brand is a pilloque who no one in politics should get close to, he's toxic. And made Ed look like another P, which he constantly lives up to, very sad politition IMO. Labour would be walking this election with a better leader. Open your eyes and see the real picture. If he was a man for his party he would have abdicated a year ago.
Strange comments as Cameron wasn't part of this thread until you introduced him. 10m on Twitter who are not voting then as he told them not to., if that's your point.
Number of points where it's easy to disagree on this: A) There's not a chance that polls will capture the impact of this interview yet. B) The 'prince' argument is really very lazy. What is the logical train of thought that precludes someone with wealth expressing a view on inequality? I'll be blunt - I don't really care for Russel Brand at all. But if you're a politician whose got a chance to speak directly to an audience usually disengaged with politics, who probably share similar underlying basic principles as you, a week before an election... Why on earth wouldn't you take it? The potential gain from engaging with those people must surely outweigh the surely small potential losses from those who would actively change their vote based on a 15 minute interview with a celebrity they have a distaste for. Your arguments seemed grounded in your personal bias rather than a rational consideration of the evidence I'm afraid.
Brand is a self obsessed hypocrite and I've never understood why so many hang on his every word. Personally I couldn't care less what he says or thinks but it seems some do and while I can see why Ed took part in the charade I feel he made a mistake doing the interview.
Totally agree mate. Unions used block vote to elect wrong brother as leader. Will definitely cost them this election. His heart may be in the right place but like Neil Kinnock and Michael Foot, he's unelectable. You just wouldn't want him leading the country, he's that weak Suzanna Reid had him for breakfast so what would Obama and Putin do to him?
You mean like this ? <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=33lefkh" target="_blank"><img src="http://i62.tinypic.com/33lefkh.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
So to conclude the thread, those who won't vote for Ed Milliband anyway don't think he should have been interviewed by Russell Brand and certainly won't watch it.
Why is Brand any different to some of the clowns masquerading as journalists? Like that ***** Nick Robinson on BBC?!
Russell Brand puts forward his views, that's all. The fact that he did this or that or was seen with whoever or has millions of quid to spend is irrelevant. He still has his views and he expresses what lots of other people think hence his large following on social media. I don't like Ed Miliband and will not be voting for Labour but at least Miliband had the guts to chat with Brand and therefore 'chat' to Brand's followers in an attempt to engage with many people who are disengaged from mainstream politics. The Labour leader deserves credit for that in my mind and your comments simply suggest to me that you so intensely dislike Brand that your logic has gone out of the window
5 point lead to the Tories in the latest poll, if they get to 7 then it's all over. I rest my case, say no more than wrong brother.
Right brother, not going far enough left to meet what the electorate that won't turn out want to hear such as nationalisation of utilities and rail, the scrapping of Trident, reversals of privatisation in the NHS etc etc
