I hope that 2009 is a great year for all of you. When you get a moment, spare a thought for the family that lost a son yesterday in Helmand, doing his duty making the world safe for all of us. This is about to be the worst year they will ever have.
Happy new year and I will spare a thought. My 15 year old nephew is already doing bits of training for the army and he's only halfway through year 10. I'd rather him not want to join the army when he leaves school, but will support him in his decision.
Indeed. Happy new year to all. My thoughs go out to the family of the deceased and all others facing danger in our names.
I feel honoured by the people who chose to represent this country in our armed forces. They deserve our humble respect whether we agree with the decision to deploy them or not.
RE: Indeed. Unfortunately that was the first bit of news that I heard this New Year and it made me think about all the people who are either directly in danger or worrying about loved ones involved in wars. Not knowing they are safe must be worse than anything I can think of. Bizarrely, my second thought was " Would promotion via the play-offs be the most wonderful feeling I ever had?!!!!" One day..... in May..... some year before I die!!!!!!
I was...... but I think I would be even more ecstatic getting to the Premiership than getting to the Championship. I would also like to experience the feeling of walking out of Wembley happy.
I hope that you will find this BBS family can bring a bit of relief!!! I'm no expert at life but I believe that you must take warmth from happy memories and look to create a future which will provide more good memories. I hope 2009 comes good for you!
