The performances and most importantly the tactics have not been good enough and Wilson's justification for those tactics has been baffling at best. However I hope that he finds himself a new job soon as I see him as a top bloke who IS a good manager who simply lost his way a bit. Perhaps taking over when we were going down wasn't right for him and its got him into a panic driven downwards spiral which he just couldn't get us out of. I'm sure at a new club he will do well. One thing I'm not particularly keen on is the wording of the statement. The headline 'Danny Wilson sacked' seems unnecessarily harsh and blunt. I'm sure other clubs say contract terminated or similar. The way it goes on to talk about crynes financial input seems crass to me too an makes me wonder who made the decision. But that's just my opinion
The only thing you're unhappy with in all this is that we've said we've sacked him when we've sacked him? Right
This, 100% In hindsight we should have given Mellon the job until the end of the season. Had that not worked out (we had nothing to lose anyway) then that's when we should have appointed Wilson or whoever. Fresh start and not carrying the burden of relegation.
Not really. That was just the first example of how the statement didn't really seem fair to me that's all. To be honest though I'm not a journalist or a football club director so I've no idea what the correct way to write these things is, it just seemed odd to me that's all
