I am absolutely knackered now after a full on day. Over 500 books were handed out to students, most staff joined in with fancy dress and there were loads of activities and reading going on throughout the day across all lessons. I’m feeling very tired and very content.

Hats off to all the teachers that put the hours in today.

I've sent my kids to school as Arthur Dent (dressing gown) for the 10th year in a row. I'm not good with costumes.

I hope you didn’t forget his towel! It always makes me smile when I see anyone dressed as him.

Can't beat a good book. I highly recommend this one that came out last week.

When my wife's 2 daughters were young I sent them to school with a toaster and a hair dryer.

I'd forgotten it was world book day so told them to tell the teachers they had gone as page 35 and page 47 of the Argos catalogue.

My girls just would not tell me what book they ate for breakfast at the book breakfast. Would have loved to be there but was on the road to Luton and back. Made a point of reading g to them at bedtime though.

That's a shame mate. The book is usually better than the film.
Me and my missus watched Moby Dick over Christmas, she enjoyed it but I told her that the book is so much better than the film. Now she's halfway through Herman Melville's epic and can't believe how good and how funny it is.
I prefer to read a book before watching the film though.

I once tried that as an experiment lol, with the missis.
I asked her to watch a few Stephen King films with me, but only after reading the books first.
And she told me loads of things which weren't even in the films!! (Needful things, and Thinner).
