I think I might have asked this before, but got the cash for my birthday so could anyone recommend a decent external hard drive, Windows 98SE compatible, for up to £80ish (i.e. I'd go to £100 if it was by far the best option)

What does WIn98SE allow up to?

Maplin were doing some decent deals recently..

it's not that often you can say that..

think it was 160GB Seagate External USB for £69.99

Alternatively, but all the bits yourself and make your own. Piece of piss. As long as the drive is not formatted to NTFS Win 98 will read it.

    I don't know

But I'd think that the spec for the drive would say it was compatible. If it's purely a case that Win98 can only access part of it then that wouldn't be a problem....I initially want it to store data to create space on my hard drive, but will also be useful for transferring from my existing PC when I buy a new one (hopefully in next 6 months) after which it can then be used to back up my data.
