had a very good game was very solid...obviously not going to start again but i think the press should lay off him now as it is pretty hard playing 10minutes every game and impressing

One of the better players today. Second only to Joe Cole for my money.

Agreed - he was very steady ..

.. midfield and forwards played pretty well all in all - Crouch held ball up well and Joe Cole always looked like creating something. Some neat and lengthy periods where we actually passed the ball to each other successfully rather than the opposition.

Defence shambolic from set pieces though, that last goal was a complete joke.

well depending on Owen's injury, the formation could be

Robinson

Cole
Terry
Ferdinand
Carragher

Beckham
Gerrard
Hargreaves
Lampard
Cole

Rooney

Hope not.

Rooney's a link man, not a target man. He needs the poacher to play alongside.

4-5-1 needs a targetman, and the only one we have is Crouch. Besides, Rooney didn't look anywhere near his usual self.

LOL on a great big stick.

Better than Steven Gerrard?

Hilarious, considering there isn't a better midfielder in the World that Steven Gerrard when they let him play freely instead of tying him down.

You could have scored a 25 yard curler from the corner of the penalty area against a top goalkeeper with your WRONG foot in the World Cup.

Yes, of course.
