If he didn't make the save to deny Hardie just after the restart, I feel it would have been a very different game. It was a collective effort to win the points, but it started there for me.
He seems to be really enjoying his time with us and has great reactions. Properly celebrates our goals too.
I hope so his handling is absolutely superb better than any keeper since muller in that respect. He's so calm and collected you never doubt him when he's going to claim the ball despite his relatively small stature. Only thing he could perhaps improve on is his kicking but that will come. I hope he's here next season and as one of the posts yesterday bobby thomas too.
That undoubtably was the turning point in the game. The number of times we have gone behind due to a single mistake and then been frustrated by a packed rearguard defence and lost the game. You could feel that game was ours from that point on against, what on paper, is the second best team in the league. There was no doubt who were the best team on the pitch from that moment on. That save was fabulous and as good as goal for us in its impact on the game.
Didn't see what happened on iFollow, the ball was already at the feet of their lad 2 yards past Mads by the time the camera got there.
Insted is a throw back to the days when goalies always went to catch crosses rather than electing to punch everything which personally I have never liked
It was a long punt from their defender that seemed to bounce awkwardly in front of Mads and went under/over his foot. Had they scored it would have been deemed as a rare mistake from Andersen, but Isted bailed him out and Mads was straight over expressing his gratitude. Whether that was as a captain or a relieved centre back, I don’t know, but was nice to see.
When is Brad likely to be fit? It may not even be a decision that has to be made. I was thinking at the match when Harry fumbled a couple of the early shots who would face up to the pressure of Wembley better? Collins has had more experience in higher pressure matches. If I were manager ( for what it's worth) I'd maybe go with which the defence felt made life easiest for them?
Duffy sign him up!!! Surely we have to do what we can to sign him permanently… it’s been said a number of times that his contract runs out in May or when ever.. I hope so. Get the lad signed up. 4 year deal
that save was a real piece of keeper skill. Many keepers would have bought the initial dummy of the shot to the right but Harry didn't flinch and as soon as the strikers posture gave lie to real intent he was down at feet. Very smart save. I have been well impressed with him since he's come in and I think Brad is going to have a battle to leverage him out. Real difficult choice for Duff when Brad fit.
