    RE: Second yellow

Aye, he was silly trying it being on a yellow. Ref didn't have much choice.

Absolutely shocking decision in my eyes. He had every right to go for that ball the defender was 'shielding' out of play. The defender made a right meal of it too. What has football come to if that is a sending off even if it was a second booking. Referees should play football themselves and then they'd know that you go for a ball like that if you think there is a chance of getting it. If I was playing as the defender or the attacker I'd think that the attacker would be in their right to attempt to get it. The defender acting like that... grow some balls mate you're a fully grown man.

    Disagree

when pennant slid for the ball, it was virtually out of play, he was never ever going to get there.

There are times when defenders shield the ball out even though the ball is almost coming to a standstill. However that wasn't one of those, the ball was going out at pace.

    Good defending, typical Pennant.

It was 'virtually' out of play. That to me says that he has every right to go for the ball. It was a foul as he didn't get the ball, granted, but not a booking. This is meant to be a physical sport and that was hardly dangerous play anyway.
