    There is only one in Cawthorne I think, the other is in Barugh Green. I might be wrong mind.

    The one at Cawthorne has changed hands in recent years so it'll be different from when you were younger. I personally think it's spot on. Nice food, not too pretentious and reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend it.

    fair comment they have certainly gone down the eating route.............

    but thats where the money is I suppose-when its busy its hard to find somewhere just to have a drink there are so many tables now-but the food is good

    Yes about 2 weeks ago

    It's good, butthe food isnot as good asthe food as Beatson House (just round the corner from it) or The Rose and Crown at Hoylandswaine. It's worth a trip, but for the same money (or less) the Roseor Beatson House are better imho.

    came home hungry. Went evening time had 3 course meal. Very 'fashion' food. Tasted great but 2 days later Mr Ali developed campylobacter. May or may not have been from there but we havent eaten there since as we prefer to go home full
