Has anyone else been on Google Earth?

    It bloody unbelievable, Barnsley's a bit fuzzy but some of the major cities around the world are fantastic.

    Try the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and New York.

    they have yet to properly work on the united kingdom they are going to try and make it so that you can zoom in and see the cars on the road and people walking which i think is going to be more or less impossible but if it works will be brilliant

    I think you have to have a compatable graphics card. It made my computer crash. :(

    Something you should know about Google Earth (beta)...
    Google Earth is a broadband, 3D application that not all computers can run.

    Apple Macintosh computers are not supported at this time
    Windows-based desktop PCs older than 4 years old may not be able to run it.
    Windows-based notebook PCs older than 2 years old may not be able to run it.

    More specifics about what you need to run Google Earth...

    Minimum configuration:

    Operating system: Windows 2000, Windows XP
    CPU speed: Intel® Pentium® PIII 500 MHz
    System memory (RAM): 128MB
    200MB hard-disk space
    3D graphics card: 3D-capable video card with 16MB VRAM
    1024x768, 32-bit true color screen
    Network speed: 128 kbps ("Broadband/Cable Internet")

    Recommended configuration:
    Operating system: Windows XP
    CPU speed: Intel® Pentium® P4 2.4GHz+ or AMD 2400xp+
    System memory (RAM): 512MB
    2GB hard-disk space
    3D graphics card: 3D-capable video card with 32MB VRAM or greater
    1280x1024, 32-bit true color screen
    Network speed: 128 kbps ("Broadband/Cable Internet")

    Chicago pictures are a year or 2 old - Soldier Field is just a pile of rubble!

    Picked out quite a few landmarks though - found both baseball stadiums but ain't found the United Center yet.

    Now for New York and New Orleans
