It's part of a volcano, due to erupt again..

    very very shortly.
    Asbestos suit advisable.
Beaches are black sand, very hot, and getting hotter, and smellier (sulphuric acid), and smokier.
Don't paddle in those bright orange streams..... they'll hurt like f.uck.

It's one of the most beautiful places in the world believe you me. When you dirst see it, it'll take your breath away. I'll be going next week. Take plenty of film because everywhere you look there's a photo.
In comparison to other Greek Islands it is very expensive. Stay in the town bit at the bottom to eat and it's not too bad, when you walk up to the top, the views will just stun you, and so will the prices!
It's one of my most favourite places ihn the world
    Enjoy!

    is that a Greek isle?

    ..next to Paros?

My onlyadvice is not to worry about miserable ba5tard locals who get upset if you don't pay them in exact money for things!

    or b) go somewhere else.

    Its a great place

I went quite a few years ago and loved it. The scenery is stunning, the trip to the active! volcano is a must (its like visiting another planet) theres lots to see, the beaches are black and so a bit hot to walk on though.
If you want more than just to lie on the beach everyday its a really really good place.

Higlight having a meal in Thera overlooking the bay watching the sun set, its every bit as good as you can imagine

We are staying in Crete, but will take the flying sickbag thingy across to Santorini for the day and return at night. It takes about 2 hours. I'll watch out for you both.
    keep wearing the Tarn shirts!
