bit disapointed

They played nearly all the new album and hardly any of the good old stuff (and even then they played the predictable ones). The triple drum kit drum solo was a bit special and Geddy's bass playing is outstanding. Serves me right for not getting the new album first, should have known better.

The new album is excellent, best they've done for some time, but they did do too much off it, I counted 8, and they started the 2nd set off with 5 of them. Went to the bog during the drum solo, can't be doing with them even if they are something different like Peart's.
Didn't think the old stuff was entirely predictable, obviously they are going to do Spirit of Radio and Tom Sawyer, but Natural Science (which was brilliant) and Circumstances I didn't expect. They didn't do much from the 90's I don't think.

    call me old

but I like the stuff off caress of steel, 2112, farewell to kings, fly by night and it wasn't much in evidence.

were you down on the ground floor or up in the stands?

    RE: call me old

Think they've left that stuff well behind, didn't even do much of that era on the Anniversary tour when they didn't have new material to play.
I was down on the floor, middle block, 25th row….would have probably preferred the side, but not too far back, as it wouldn't be an obscured view.

trouble is I'm still stuck in 1981 and can't move on musically.

I was up in the 2nd tier, front row, right on the end overlooking the stage. A bit side on but close enough to see everything going on, including Geddy almost goingarse over tit down the steps.

I think Snakes and Arrows is a future classic.

Best Album in yonks. So for that reason I enjoyed the show. Agree with Eaststander about Spirit of Radio but I thought Working Them Angels was one of the best of the night. Was it YYZ right at the end too - brill. I see Alex didn't do his one-man stand up comedian bit ?

Can't work out whether it was as good as Manchester two years ago (R30). Maybe I just prefer Manchester as a venue ? Or maybe it was summat to do with the 5 pints of John Smiths, 5 bottles of Magners, bottle of Peroni and half bottle of Montepulciano I managed to get through beforehand in Walkabout / Zizi's. (casualty)

    Top do, all-in-all.

The visuals for The Larger Bowl were excellent, really added to the feeling of that song.

Had album on again in car on way home today and it just gets better.

What did you think of Vapor Trails?

Cause I thought that was poor, this one is a return to form from the mid-90's.

Im the only person on the planet who loves Test For Echo. My 2 favourites though are Signals and Grace Under pressure.

Not listened to it for ages and looking at the track listing it's not up there for me.

Think I'm the only one who likes Hold Your Fire though, judging by the reaction when Geddy announced they were going back to that album for Mission!
