has anyone read philip pulmans dark materials trilogy?

    I know they are meant for kids but they are a cracking good read.Just about to start the third one, can't put them down.

    probably will, nicole kidman plays mrs coulter and daniel craig plays lord asriel. Theyre not exactly as how I imagined the characters

    Strangely I thought the other way round

    Can easily imagine Nicole playing Mrs C, struggling more with Daniel Craig - but then I didnt think he would be any good as Bond so shows what I know

    I thought the books were excellent by the way so the films will need to be very good - but its been done OK with Potter and Lord of the Rings so its definitely possible

    It's been done quite badly with Narnia and Eragon though, so could go either way.
