I love this bit 'Our aim is to sell quality unnofficial merchandise at affordable prices. We provide Barnsley F.C fans a different choice in merchandise to the official club shop' which is followed up by this 'All images taken from the Barnsley F.C. official website. This is the only place on the net which have Barnsley F.C. related merchandise. I did not ask Barnsley F.C. for useage of these pictures. All credit for the images goes to Barnsley F.C'</p>

Looks like a student project. And a massive breach of copyright.

It doesn't actually seem to be selling anything though. Or at least I can't see any way to buy things from it (I was looking out of curiousity)

As Penistone Reds we have so many things to consider. Even the name Barnsley FC ona pin badge has implications without getting permission

as anyone who has had more than one needs to quit if that is their work :D
I quite like how the student who's name it says is D Mason but the contact name he gives is Chris Mynett

    Stevie Wonder I think

are football greats likely to come up with any other style of tshirt in the near future or are you just sticking to the football card style ones?

Just trying to build the collection up with the cig card/footy sticker style

We are dabbling with a few ideas at the minute.

We'd love to get the Barnsley stuff in the club shop, make the club some money and us a few bob. It's about time they had some good clobber for sale and i think our stuff would work.

Getting them in the clubshop sounds like a great idea, would be a nice range for the club to sell and would hopefully mean you sell a lot more too lol

    Yeah

We have plans to approach em in the next couple of weeks, Cryne is a collector of BFC memorabilia so he would probably love em.

Possibly the same students that designed that website.

    RE: Yeah

ah but not if it is not good for the club financially. Could see it as giving money away to another middle man. Will also depend on agreements in place withother merchandise suppliers.

They need middle men with the **** are are trying to flog at the minute

They could be making 15 quid on the 20 quid stuff they have in now but they're not selling many cos they are ****.

And the reason it is **** is because they'll pay f*ck all for it, which show in the quality of the products they have in the clubshop.

Get better stuff in and more people will come and spend money.

A higher price doesn't always mean quality.

I agree that the Club shop needs to be updated and sell a variety of goods but they also have to remember that not everyone can afford £15 -£20 for a t-shirt but could probably afford to pay up to £10.

We will be getting a few more youngsters coming to Oakwell from August and need to have decent products in stock that they can buy with their pocket money. There's no point only stocking things that is out of their price band.

But at the minute they sell neither

The cheaper shoddy stuff is overpriced and unwanted, they could sell a whole range of gear.

From £10 t shirts for the kids to some nicer stuff people wouldn't mind paying a bit more for.

That's why the shop needs updating.

T.shirts/replica shirts aren't the only answer though. Bear in mind £10 upwards is a lot of money for kids and a decent, small souvenir is better than leaving a shop not being able to afford anything.

    Our clubshop is awful

It needs a revamp, with much better quality, and priced goods. Simple as that.
