That is to say..........the more success that Flicker has..........the more it makes his best mate Keith Hill look like a fool

Flicker still refering to Keith Hill as the 'Gaffer'

Knowing how close these two guys are and how close their familys are...........could this have an adverse effect on Flicker ???

    Lets hope not

We are not going through all that crap again. Flicker is our new manager so lets get behind him. He is doing a good job and our results are picking up

I dont think that 'crap' as you describe it has ever been talked about on here.

I dont have any male freinds like some guys do..........but if I had then I would hate to think I was undermining their credibility

So are you suggesting he will want to fail or it makes his mate look bad?

I dont think I have a best mate in the way Hill and Flicker seem to be but I have some good mates and we would all do our best to be more successful than each other not to show them up but just because we are competitive I'm sure Flicker will want to succeed here but I also very much expect Hill will want him to as well

What has Flicker doing well got to do with Hill. Of course there good mates, and it would not say much about any one of them if they fell out. Flicker has took over and it is now his shout, he has all the responsibility to get Barnsley up the league and he needs Our help.

I don't think it will affect their friendship as I'm sure Keith will have a job of his own to worry about soon. Back at Rochdale maybe....

Couldn't give a **** whether it affects their friendship, so long as Flitcroft proves to be a good enough manager for us.

He's too professional to let his friendship affect his career so I don't think he will sacrifice results to limit the damage to his mates reputation and if Keef is a good mate he wouldn't expect it either.

A friendship is reciprocal so keef will want him to succeed. I am sure it hasn't even crossed his mind.

Pop psychology from Young Nudger. It's like listening to your Great Aunt Flo explaining the difference between drum 'n' bass and grime.

Obviously with this comment from Jay we have to bow to his superior knowledge on this subject and plead with him to enlighten us on the matter further than mere 'pop psychology'.
    Over to you dear oracle.........
