Pray tell what it was about today's display, against a team that we always struggle, and where we had more possession and more attempts at goal than they did, and where we had half the first team absent, and where we lack a decent finisher, that merits blaming the manager. Just today - why is it so obvious that a man should be sacked on the whim of someone such as you. Lose his livelihood. Just because it says 1-0 to the other side in the sunday papers. Just that really. Apart from what you would have done today instead which would have guaranteed 1-3 points.
We lack a decent finisher? Woodrow can finish given the opportunity. We never created many clear opportunities, if any at all where you think we should have scored. Can't understand bringing odour on in afront 3, why not bring Cole on he did well v millwall then gets dropped again? Why take Britain off who was one of our best if not best player today? Sacking him wouldnt be based on today his win ratio was 8% before today. One win in how many now? Last goal from.open play against Birmingham at home? Should have gone weeks ago for me.
Well if you think Brittain was our best player today then I'll leave you to your opinions. No doubt there'll be a poll and if you're right then I'll shut up.
As clear opportunities go I think Williams, Iseka, Woodrow and Big Viv could have done better with the chances they had. As poor final balls go there’s too many to mention. Too many passes 20 yards from the opposition goal that don’t create anything. I really like Callum Brittain. I thought he played well, despite being in no man’s land for the goal and being wasteful with some of his crosses. But one thing he won’t be able to say today is that we didn’t have players arriving in the box for his crosses. It’s just his crosses were too often wayward and wasteful. If we play today’s game the same way but add Dike and Morris to the options up front, either off the bench or starting, I think we win the game by a couple of goals.
I would have took victor off for Cole and left britain on. If you think a 1 nil defeat to Reading where we had more shots on goal than them and more possession but didn't create a clear cut chance is a positive result and enough to save schopp from the sack after 1 win all season and constant ***** football than thats your opinion but one I don't share.
Not one for changing managers at the first sign of trouble, but this fella is so clearly out of his depth it's almost laughable. Like a bloody competition winner.... Given they're reasonably close to Heathrow, I'd have dropped him off there on the way home. We're a Championship club - just - so shouldn't really be a proving ground for Schopp. Needs to go and learn his trade somewhere further down the ladder. Can't we loan him out somewhere?
You’ve used plural there. Intrigued as to what was bizarre about all of them? Feel like bizarre is the new buzz word for the BBS in 2021. Everything that someone wouldn’t have done themselves is branded bizarre
Britain said a few weeks ago they were playing off the cuff and needed to do more attacking work in training. We never had dike he was never our player as for Morris he could have made a difference but woodrow can score given the opportunity. If woodrow was out people would have been saying woodrow would have scored today etc... everyone's scoring when there not avalible iseka another one who was going to be a world beater when his visa came through. In all my years of watching us I've seen some poor barnsley sides but never one who struggle to score like this one especially in open play.
Obviously results have been disgusting this season, but this is complete and utter rhubarb. Daryl Dike scored 9 goals in 20 league games last season. Whether Orlando, Barnsley or The Cross Keys owned him does not matter. The fact is, we haven't replaced him. We didn't play with 10 last season. He wasn't a mirage.
When you loan a player with a buy out fee at a rumored 20 million you don't really expect him to sign for you when your a barnsley fan..... oulare was supposed to replace him buy conway has signed us a player outside of our usual performance analyst basis and low and behold he's injured and looks to be getting worse not better.
Everything you say is true. But it still doesn't change the fact that Dike played regularly for us last season and we have not adequately replaced a starter from out successful 2021 team. To say he was never our player so doesn't count is wrong. And this isn't Schopp's fault. Caveat - I don't really know why I'm defending Schopp so much, because we've been grim mostly this season. I guess i just don't want a decent (it seems) bloke to lose his job when he's not been given the tools to do it to the best of his ability.
