Has Andy Ritchie officially been give the Huddersfield managers job?

According to Calender he was in the directors box yesterday, so why the hell don't they get on with it and give him the job.

I can't understand why it's not happened yet.

I think AR would be ok working with John Dungworth. A few of you old timers will remember he played three games for us in 1974 on loan from Town.

He was at the Huddersfield match as a Oldham Athletic representative and left 10 minutes early like a true scout according to my local paper. Check the Huddersfield Examiner website.

Ah, so thats why the press jumped the gun.

I thought it's strange not to have given him the job when he had two interviews and then shows up in the Directors box.

It just shows you that the press don't really know any more about whats going on than the fans.

I was in at the Royal Infirmary this Evening but I didn't get to see a copy of the Examiner.

I remember him playing for Rotherham, not sure about Aldershot. I'll ask him if I see him on Friday. He nearly aways attends the Coaches Association meetings at Sheff U.

Not a year goes by without me visiting that place for one thing or another. Already been a few times this year with a mate when he broke his wrist. Good job they do very nice food. Don't like having to walk in past a capuchino stall though (N) (N) (N)

The press and some fans, obviously not a clueless one like yourself,

know that AR was playing in a tournament in Dubai over the weekend. Heleft early and turned up in the Directors box at Huddersfield.Plus it's been widely reported that he was only just pipped for the post by Parky at Huddersfield.

    Re: He played for Aldershot

All time record signing and leading goalscorer at Aldershot (unless changed over last few seasons).

He's also worked with Ritchie before at the Leeds academy.

He was on the short-list of 6 interviewed I believe,

although Blackwell dropped out the day before he was due to be interviewed leaving 5. Parky, Ritchie and Megson invited back for 2nd interviews.
