Ritchie might finally be thinking we need a plan B that doesn't involve playing the big punt upfield. When Windass was first at Bradford he played an attacking midfield role behind Lee Mills and Robbie Blake and sure enough it fired Bradford to promotion. This is only my personal thinking but maybe McPhail isn't going to sign a new contract, leave this month, and Windass is his replacement. Burns at the moment is having to do both a holding role and an attacking role (see Port Vale game), but if we had Windass Burns could sit and break things up, and leave the attacking to Windass. I can see Shukur and Devaney crossing balls in with Deano charging into the box from midfield to finish them off. Obviously this I could be completely wrong here but just a thought as I did have a Bradford season ticket when they were promotoed so saw this system work. (long story, only cost me £23)
No i think that windass should be up front, dont know who with but i cant see us benefitting from him in midfield.
